We regularly visit Casa Joao when on holiday in a nearby golf resort. We enjoy their Italian food.The staff are friendly, the food is very good and it&#39;s good value.Sesmarias is a little way out from the holiday villages of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo but Casa Joao is worth visiting and there is usually parking available on the roadside.

Really good food. We had a mixture of pizza, pasta &amp; steak, followed by ice cream of course. All staff were friendly &amp; engaged in conversation with our children which is really important to us.

Good food for a light dinner after a long day travelling.  Very friendly staff and reasonably priced for a family of four. Will go back again.

Love coming here, staff are very friendly and super efficient, food is good quality and value.Having a holiday home not so far away we always visit Jo&atilde;o for a wonderful welcome and a great evening of good, honest food.

Revisited and returned . good service great to be able to book online and feel welcomed . Very good food and wine tasting ! Wish the entertainment had started earlier as that would have made our night even more special . Thank you again and shall return

You&#39;d never know it from outside but this is a really cozy spot with great quality pizza. The owner was a real character and took time to walk us through some of his favourite menu items. We split 3 pizzas and one of their amazing thin crust garlic breads for a family of 4. I don&#39;t remember the name, but the white pizza with seasonal figs had a beautiful blend of flavours (we took a 2nd to go for a quick beach snack the next day). The draft beer was cold and the atmosphere was just right... albeit in a small footprint. Make sure to reserve a table during peak season!

The best couvert I have had. Delicious fish soup. My husband had the reasonably priced T-bone steak, cooked to perfection, and my grilled mixed fish consisted of salmon, tuna, swordfish and two huge prawns. Well cooked and beautifully presented. Couldn&rsquo;t fault anything.

The food here was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was very quiet being January so there would have been more vibe with more people. The food and service was exceptional.

WOW! The fish was so fresh it melted in our mouth. We both took the tasting menu (one with sashimi and one without). Even if it&rsquo;s unlimited, the first serve was enough for both of us. We went back a couple of dats after our first try as it was so good. We really recommend you to try it!
